The Public Works Department performs a wide variety of services that contribute to the quality of life in San Benito County.  These include maintenance and construction work on the county's extensive road and bridge infrastructure, maintenance of County buildings and grounds, management of three County parks, and mapping and reviewing development plans.

Bertha Briggs Memorial Youth Center: The Bertha Briggs Memorial Youth Center, also known as the Girl Scout House, is available to the public for private events on weekends only.  Click on the link for further information.

County Roads:  An explanation of the roads maintained by the County, information on road closures during construction or storms, a listing of County-owned roads, link to state Department of Transportation.

County Parks: Information on County-owned parks, including San Justo Reservoir, and reservation information for Veterans Memorial Park  and the County Historical Park.   The Veterans Park Commission is the regulatory body for Veterans' Memorial Park.  The meeting dates, agendas, and minutes can be found here.  The San Benito County Parks and Recreation Commission is the regulatory and advisory body to the County Board of Supervisors for parks and recreation facilities and programs in San Benito County.  The meeting dates, agendas, and minutes can be found here.
