San
Benito County maintains 385 miles of roadway from the Santa Clara County line
in the north to the Monterey County line in the south, and Fresno and Merced
Counties on the eastern border.
This maintenance includes repairing
potholes and crack sealing, paving, maintenance of road signs and markings,
shoulder grading, and repair of washed out roads in storms, earthquakes, or
other natural disasters.
Highway 25 and Highway 156 are California state
highways, under the jurisdiction of CalTrans
