2010 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING CALENDAR
2009 MEETING CALENDAR
The
Planning Commission was established by Ordinance in 1949. The Commission
consists of five members appointed by the Board of Supervisors, one for each
supervisorial district. The appointment of each Commissioner is
recommended by the respective Supervisor from that district. The
appointment is subsequently confirmed by a majority of the Board of Supervisors.
The term of each Planning Commissioner is concurrent with the term of the
Supervisor of that district.
The
duties of the Planning Commission consist of making. adopting and maintaining
the General Plan for the physical development of the county and serving in an
advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors. The
County Planning Department assists and advises the Commission and provides
staffing.
